Vera ("we", "our", "us") operates a WhatsApp-based sports group management service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

When you interact with Vera through WhatsApp, we collect:

Phone number — Your WhatsApp phone number, used to identify your account
Display name — Your WhatsApp profile name
Messages — Messages you send to the bot (commands like /in, /out, group names, etc.)
Group membership — Which Vera-managed groups you belong to
Game data — RSVPs, stats, and scores from games you participate in

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Vera service:

Managing your group memberships and game participation
Tracking game stats (wins, goals, assists) as configured by your group captain
Sending you relevant messages about your groups and games
Processing payments through Stripe (if applicable)

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as required to provide the service (e.g., Stripe for payment processing).

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

WhatsApp (Meta) — Messaging platform
Stripe — Payment processing
Supabase — Database hosting

Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your data, contact us and we will remove your information within 30 days.
